Spring 2012

Though the winter this year was really mild Boston winter, we are still enjoying the start of spring. It's great to get out without jackets (and without having to necessarily locate shoes for the girls).

Guess who grabbed her Abba's ice cream...

"Family Football" at the park. Josh and I won this one, which brings us to
a tie. The "Superbowl" takes place on a Sunday soon. Stay tuned.

A rare family photo with all of us! Even Talya's looking at the camera!

Sunday April 22, 2012

Today we drove to Providence, Rhode Island, to visit our Uncle Charles and Auntie Ellie! We haven't seen them since pesach two years ago, and we were excited to introduce the kids to them and vice versa. We drove through the rain, listening with full "emunah" to our GPS (since we had no idea how to get there otherwise) and arrived safely for a fun-filled day with them. We had some lunch in their home (yikes, the beige carpets were spotless! We were a little intimidated...) and Adin noticed how the dining room looked "kind of Japanese", which sparked some discussion about Auntie Ellie's childhood in Japan. The kids were showered with toys and treats and Adin began to pray for a storm which would force us to stay in Providence for the night so that we could miss school the next day and spend more time with our family (in no specific order of importance).

We were then treated to a visit to the Providence Childrens Museum! Followed by a visit to the nearby Ben and Jerry's ice cream shop.

Uncle Charles - physicist - explained to us about the exhibit with the
hankerchiefs blown by air through the tubes - it's all about
the difference in air pressure....

Avishai works the register at the model grocery store from the 1950s and
makes sure to give Uncle Charles a heavy discount.

The Kruger construction crew. It took a LOT of convincing to get
Ariel to put on that hard hat for the photo....

(Yes, Hila IS wearing a dress with another skirt underneath.
It wasn't worth the fight, and honestly, the look is
starting to grow on me. I kinda like it...)
